Officials from culture and domestic policy spoke about the celebration of the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan at a regional staff meeting. The first day of May will be marked not only by concerts and festivals, but also by the start of various campaigns to help flood victims. At the same time, the country now recommends organizing events without unnecessary pomp. Therefore, outdoor concerts on May 1, as well as other folk festivals, are not expected, reports an ekaraganda.kz correspondent.
The head of the internal policy department, Nurlan Bikenov, spoke about the nationwide campaign “Bereke-Birlikte”, which starts on May 1 and is designed to provide assistance to regions affected by floods. Volunteers and businessmen will take part in the event.
“Volunteers and emergency workers who were involved in rescue efforts during the floods will also be honored in the region, and a caravan with humanitarian cargo will go to the North Kazakhstan region. In addition, the republican action “Run of Unity” has already started – 1,500 athletes and activists of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan took part in it,” shared Nurlan Bikenov.
The action plan for May 1 has already been approved. Round tables and meetings will be held in the region; curatorial and classroom hours will be organized in educational institutions to discuss the tasks set by the Head of State at the XXXIII session of the ANC.
The acting head of the department of culture, archives and documentation, Erlan Neldybaev, noted that theatrical and entertainment organizations had prepared festive concerts and performances for the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan. The Saryzhailau Cinema will hold a retrospective screening of animated films from the golden fund of world cinema in its exhibition hall. In order to form a respectful attitude towards the historical and cultural traditions of all peoples, the spiritual and moral education of young people, library and museum exhibitions, information hours, round tables, outdoor concerts and much more will be held. A crafts fair will be held on the square of the Central Park of Karaganda.
